Strong critical consensus from the UK release has anchored trader sentiment around a high Rotten Tomatoes score for the Working Title rom-com. Released in UK theaters on May 22, 2026, Finding Emily earned a perfect 100% Tomatometer from roughly 30 reviews, with critics praising its self-aware Gen-Z campus satire, the chemistry between Angourie Rice and Spike Fearn, and director Alicia MacDonald’s fresh spin on rom-com tropes. Metacritic scores sit in the low 70s. The upcoming August 28 US limited release could add reviews, though early tracking and modest UK box office ($1.1M) suggest limited additional volume. A single recent outlier mixed review highlights risks around the central relationship’s ethics, but the established positive narrative and lack of major backlash support continued high implied probabilities for scores above 90%.
