This market will resolve to "Yes" if Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin talk by November 30, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". A talk is defined as any interaction between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin, occurring either in person or through verbal communication by phone or video call. Events that occurred prior to the start of this market will not qualify toward its resolution. The resolution source will be a consensus of credible reporting.
Ukrainian and Russian positions remain far apart on core issues including territorial control in Donbas and security arrangements, with Moscow continuing to condition any high-level engagement on prior concessions while Kyiv seeks a ceasefire during negotiations. Zelenskyy’s June 2026 open letter proposing direct talks in a neutral venue was rejected by Putin as insincere, and U.S.-mediated trilateral efforts have remained stalled since February amid Washington’s focus on Iran.
