Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in San Luis Potosí on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 San Luis Potosí gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of San Luis Potosí and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of San Luis Potosí and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.
The San Luis Potosí gubernatorial race remains wide open with no dominant frontrunner in trader consensus because the June 2027 vote is still nearly a year away and major parties have yet to finalize coalitions or nominees. Ruth González Silva holds the highest implied probability among named contenders due to her status as the PVEM candidate backed publicly by incumbent Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, while other aspirants such as Gerardo Sánchez Zumaya and Enrique Galindo Ceballos trail amid ongoing internal primaries and alliance talks involving Morena-PT partners. Recent legislative changes shortening precampaign windows to 20 days, plus disputes over gender parity rules, have kept the field fluid and delayed clearer separation. Late coalition shifts, candidate registrations, or polling shifts ahead of the formal campaign period could quickly alter positioning.
