Chen Su-yueh maintains a dominant position in the Changhua County magistrate race due to consistent polling leads of roughly double her nearest rival amid widespread voter indecision. The DPP candidate benefits from established local networks and unified party backing ahead of the November 28 vote. In contrast, the KMT's direct nomination of Wei Ping-cheng followed prolonged internal disputes over contenders, resulting in limited factional mobilization and muted public endorsement from the outgoing magistrate. Recent mid-October surveys underscore Chen's favorability edge while highlighting the opposition's challenges consolidating support in a county where local alliances often determine outcomes. Trader consensus prices these structural factors heavily in her favor.
