Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Bratislava Region, Slovakia on October 24, 2026. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2026 Bratislava Region gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Bratislava Region and Slovakia, including the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic (https://volby.statistics.sk/).

Juraj Droba, the incumbent governor of the Bratislava Region (Bratislavský samosprávny kraj) since 2017, holds a commanding position in the October 24, 2026, election. He is backed by a broad opposition-aligned coalition (Team Bratislava, PS, SaS, and Demokrati) and benefits from strong name recognition and a track record of regional projects in transport, education, and infrastructure. A May/June 2026 SANEP poll placed him at 47.8%, well ahead of rivals. The main challenger is Rastislav Gajarský, a relatively unknown Hlas nominee put forward by the national governing coalition (Smer, Hlas, SNS). Other candidates, including independents and minor-party figures, have limited visibility. Traders assign Droba the highest probability because Bratislava Region voters have historically favored non-governing parties, his prior win exceeded 63%, and no opponent has mounted a credible campaign so far. The multi-candidate field and roughly seven weeks until voting introduce some residual uncertainty, but the current positioning favors continuity.
