Daniele Monroe-Moreno holds the strongest position in the 2026 North Las Vegas mayoral race after topping the June 9 nonpartisan primary with 47.1 percent of the vote to Scott Black’s 41.6 percent, advancing both to the November 3 general election runoff. Trader consensus at 81 percent for Monroe-Moreno reflects her primary margin, statewide Democratic Party infrastructure as state chair, and endorsements from U.S. senators, the attorney general, and congressional representatives. Black’s 14.5 percent pricing aligns with his local council tenure, police and firefighter union support, business endorsements, and cash-on-hand advantage, though these have not closed the gap in market pricing. The nonpartisan contest features competing emphases on local continuity versus broader policy experience, with early voting underway and term-limit constraints applying to Black if elected. No major late developments have shifted the primary-driven positioning ahead of election day.
