If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
Incumbent Randy Weber secured the Republican nomination with 88.6% in the March primary and faces Democratic nominee Thurman Bill Bartie, who won a May runoff, in the November general election for Texas's 14th congressional district. Nonpartisan forecasters rate the seat Solid or Safe Republican, consistent with the district's partisan voting index and recent results including Weber's 68.7% win and strong Republican presidential performance in 2024. Traders assign the Republican Party a 94.5% implied probability because the southeast Texas district's voter base, limited Democratic infrastructure, and absence of competitive polling or major campaign developments reinforce the structural advantage. A late scandal, health event, or unusually strong national Democratic turnout could narrow the margin, though such shifts remain low-probability given current conditions.
