Incumbent Martin Ritsma holds the leading trader consensus at 63.5% in the Stratford, Ontario mayoral race, reflecting his established position after a narrow 2022 victory and ongoing council work on initiatives like housing partnerships and development projects. Challengers Jo-Dee Burbach at 32.1% and others trail amid a five-candidate field that includes Mark Hunter, Robert Ritz, and Andrew Rea. Recent October debates have focused on ward systems, density, the Grand Trunk site, and doctor recruitment, with Ritsma opposing wards while some rivals push for study or change. Internet and telephone voting runs through October 26, with no major late shifts reported that would alter the current positioning.
