The 2026 Poprad mayoral election is currently scheduled to be held on October 24, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next Mayor of Poprad as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Poprad, Prešov Region and Slovakia, including the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic (https://volby.statistics.sk/).

Incumbent Anton Danko holds the leading position in the Poprad mayoral race ahead of Slovakia’s October 24, 2026 municipal elections, supported by his nearly two-decade record of project delivery and cross-party backing from SNS, Smer-SD, and Hlas-SD. Business challengers Mikuláš Bobák and Jozef Králik emphasize regional development and private-sector efficiency, yet face a fragmented field of 13 total candidates. The decision by MP František Majerský not to contest the mayoralty but instead build a council slate has limited consolidation of opposition votes. Traders price the incumbent’s experience and organizational edge highest while assigning lower but non-negligible probabilities to the main business-oriented alternatives in a contest that remains open until election day.
