Incumbent Republican Glenn Grothman holds a commanding position in Wisconsin's 6th Congressional District heading into the November 3 general election, reflecting the seat's consistent Republican lean and his long tenure since 2015. Multiple nonpartisan forecasters rate the district Solid Republican, citing its R+8 Partisan Voter Index and Grothman's prior victories, including 61 percent in 2024. He faced no primary opposition, while Democrat Brad Smith narrowly won his party's nomination as a political newcomer. Fundraising data shows Grothman maintaining a substantial cash advantage. Trader consensus aligns with these structural factors, though late developments such as a major scandal, health event, or unusually strong national Democratic performance could still narrow the gap before Election Day.
