Recent polling from Pew and AARP indicates Democratic candidates hold modest edges or near-parity among voters 65 and older overall, with women showing stronger support for Democrats on issues such as Social Security protections, Medicare drug pricing, and healthcare affordability. These priorities rank highest among older voters in battleground districts, where AARP surveys from early October highlight widespread concern over costs and retirement security. Broader generic ballot trends show a slight Democratic lead nationally, reinforced by women's consistent preference margins in recent cycles. Traders appear to view these patterns, combined with high older-voter turnout expectations ahead of the November 3 midterms, as positioning Democrats to carry the older women demographic in national exit polls. Resolution depends on verified post-election breakdowns from sources such as CNN.
