Incumbent Mike Carey holds a narrow edge in the OH-15 race due to the district’s R+5 partisan lean and established name recognition in the southwestern Columbus suburbs. Recent Democratic polling shows Don Leonard within striking distance or ahead, reflecting competitive dynamics in a swing-leaning area where turnout among suburban voters and independents could decide the outcome. Carey’s substantial fundraising lead provides an advantage in advertising, yet Leonard’s primary win and outside support have narrowed the gap. A Libertarian candidate on the ballot adds uncertainty to vote splitting. Forecaster ratings cluster in the Lean or Likely Republican range, consistent with trader pricing that treats the contest as closely balanced heading into the November general election.
