Record early voting in Georgia's November 3 U.S. Senate contest between incumbent Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican challenger Mike Collins has driven trader focus toward mid-range turnout totals. More than 188,600 in-person ballots were cast on the first day of early voting alone, exceeding the comparable 2022 midterm figure by roughly 40 percent, with cumulative early votes surpassing 436,000 within three days. This surge, concentrated among women and Black voters, reflects heightened engagement in the closely watched race and concurrent statewide contests amid Georgia's extended early-voting window. Polling averages show Ossoff ahead by roughly eight points, consistent with typical midterm participation levels rather than presidential-year peaks, positioning the 4.2M–4.4M band as the consensus outcome while leaving room for final-week mobilization to adjust totals.
