Carlos Torres Piña leads the Michoacán gubernatorial race for June 6, 2027, as Morena’s designated coordinator, reflecting the party’s consistent edge in October 2026 surveys where he registers 27–30% support compared with Alfonso Martínez Alcázar’s 16–20% for the PAN. Recent polling from GobernArte, Demoscopia, and others shows Morena and allies holding 41% partisan preference, aided by Torres Piña’s prior roles as state fiscal and government secretary plus internal party consolidation in September 2026. Trader pricing at 66.8% for Torres Piña aligns with this Morena structural advantage, while Grecia Quiroz at 26% draws from her visibility as Uruapan mayor and successor following the 2025 assassination of Carlos Manzo, though her independent or MC route has not yet overtaken the frontrunner in most measurements. Fragmented opposition candidacies and ongoing federal security initiatives further anchor current consensus around the leading Morena profile.
