The 2026 Kamloops, British Columbia mayoral election is currently scheduled to be held on October 17, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate who becomes the next mayor of Kamloops, British Columbia as a result of this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting; however, if there is any ambiguity in the results, this market will resolve according to official information from Kamloops, British Columbia.

Mike O'Reilly leads Kamloops trader consensus for the October 17 municipal election at 72.5% implied probability, ahead of incumbent Reid Hamer-Jackson at 12% and Nelly Dever at 8.2%. O'Reilly's positioning stems from his seven years on council, early endorsement by former mayors, and platform emphasizing fiscal restraint, infrastructure delivery, and reduced street disorder. Hamer-Jackson's re-election bid has been pressured by ongoing financial challenges, including a bank extension on foreclosure proceedings for his business property until early 2027 and reports of unpaid taxes. Dever's Pivot Kamloops slate, the first in nearly four decades, highlights governance reform and budget oversight but has yet to shift significant market share. Recent candidate announcements, including Ray Dhaliwal's September entry focused on taxes and safety, remain fragmented with limited trading volume on secondary options.
