This market will resolve to “Yes” if the named individual wins and accepts the 2028 nomination of the Republican Party for U.S. president. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Republican Party sources. Any replacement of the Republican nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.
The close contest between Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and J.D. Vance reflects trader assessments of competing paths within the Republican coalition for the 2028 nomination. As HHS secretary, Kennedy maintains visibility through health policy initiatives that appeal to segments prioritizing regulatory shifts on vaccines and related issues, while Vice President Vance leverages institutional positioning, high-profile administration tasks, and relationships with state party networks. Marco Rubio trails as a potential alternative with broader establishment support. With no formal candidacies announced and Trump’s endorsement path unclear, the narrow spread signals uncertainty over primary voter priorities, where upcoming polls, cabinet performance metrics, or early endorsements could consolidate support and widen the gap ahead of 2028 caucuses and primaries.
