Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s record-shattering summer performance anchors the 92.5% market-implied odds for highest-grossing 2026 film. The July 31 release delivered the biggest domestic opening ever at $360 million, crossed $2.5 billion worldwide within weeks, and now sits well ahead of The Odyssey and every other 2026 title. Avengers: Doomsday’s December 18 launch carries strong presales and franchise momentum, yet faces a compressed window and the need for an unprecedented late-year haul to close the gap. Other contenders, including Toy Story 5 and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, trail by more than $1 billion. An upset would require Doomsday to post multiple Endgame-level weekends in its final month, a scenario traders currently view as remote.
