Microsoft's fiscal first-quarter 2027 results, released October 28, drove recent sentiment, with revenue rising 19% to $92.3 billion and Azure revenue surging 48% year-over-year to $33.2 billion, both exceeding consensus. The stock rallied 6.7% on November 4 to a 52-week high of $555.80 before pulling back more than 3% on November 5 amid broader AI-related selling and profit-taking. Traders are weighing accelerating Microsoft Cloud growth against elevated capital expenditures and construction delays for data centers. With shares trading near $539 and a market capitalization around $4 trillion, the week of November 2 features elevated volume and volatility following the earnings catalyst, ahead of the ex-dividend date on November 19 and the next earnings release in late January 2027.
