  • Will the Democratic Party win the TX-34 House seat?88¢88%
  • Will the Republican Party win the TX-34 House seat?13¢13%

Incumbent Democrat Vicente Gonzalez holds a strong position in Texas's 34th congressional district ahead of the November 3 general election, with trader consensus pricing his reelection odds at 82 percent against Republican Eric Flores at 16 percent. The seat, redrawn in 2025 mid-decade redistricting to favor Republicans, remains competitive according to most forecasters, who rate it a toss-up or lean Democratic. Limited polling shows Gonzalez ahead by narrow margins, including a 45-42 percent result from Texas Southern University in August. Gonzalez maintains a fundraising and cash-on-hand advantage, while Flores secured the GOP nomination and drew support from national Republican figures. Early voting began October 19, and recent forecaster updates have not shifted the race substantially from its current positioning.
