Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Sonora on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Sonora gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Sonora and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Sonora and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.

Trader consensus on the Sonora governor race remains closely balanced ahead of the June 2027 vote, with multiple named contenders clustered in implied probabilities because the contest is still in its early pre-nomination stage. Lorenia Valles Sampedro leads among listed options, reflecting Morena’s state organizational strength and her recent indefinite Senate leave to focus on regional outreach. Rivals including Antonio Astiazarán Gutiérrez, Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas, and others trail as opposition parties maintain fragmented fields across potential tickets and independents. Limited public polling, ongoing internal surveys, and the absence of finalized candidate selections keep probabilities tight. Upcoming party conventions, broader voter surveys, or shifts in national political momentum could widen gaps by consolidating support or highlighting frontrunners.
