Early critic screenings have positioned Onslaught as Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with initial aggregates around 83-85% based on roughly a dozen reviews praising its lean, violent Carpenter-esque action, Adria Arjona’s lead turn, and Wingard’s return to genre roots after studio tentpoles. Metacritic’s 55 score signals more divided responses on pacing and polish. As an A24 release hitting theaters September 4, additional reviews from major outlets will arrive in the final days before wide release, potentially shifting the Tomatometer amid competition from other late-summer thrillers. Traders should monitor guild and critic-circle buzz for momentum signals ahead of the score lock.
