  • Will the Democratic Party win the NE-02 House seat?95¢
  • Will the Republican Party win the NE-02 House seat?4¢

Denise Powell holds a commanding lead in the NE-02 open-seat race following incumbent Republican Don Bacon’s retirement, with traders pricing her victory at 95 percent amid the district’s swing character and recent shifts in nonpartisan ratings to Likely Democratic. Powell’s substantial fundraising advantage, grassroots organization, and performance in the October debates on cost-of-living and healthcare issues have reinforced this positioning, while Brinker Harding’s city council record and primary path have not closed the gap in a district that has split federal tickets in recent cycles. With early voting underway ahead of the November 3 election, late developments such as national economic shifts, turnout surprises among independents, or unforeseen campaign events remain the primary variables that could still narrow the implied probability reflected in current market pricing.
