Doosan Bears hold a clear edge in the August 29 KBO matchup at Jamsil Stadium, driven by their stronger overall roster, pitching depth, and playoff positioning against a last-place Kiwoom side. Doosan sits fifth at approximately 59-52-4 with an eight-game cushion over sixth place and 29 games remaining, while Kiwoom lingers in 10th at 42-74-3 and has been eliminated from postseason contention. The Bears lead the season series 7-4 and post superior team marks, including higher run production (around 4.6 per game) and a markedly better staff ERA (3.68 versus Kiwoom’s 5.29). The postponed August 28 contest shifted the Saturday starter to Doosan ace Kwak Bin (10-5, 2.33 ERA, 1.07 WHIP) against Kiwoom’s An Woo-jin, creating a favorable home matchup at Jamsil where Doosan’s bullpen depth and offensive consistency provide added stability. Kiwoom’s offense ranks near the bottom league-wide in runs and slugging, limiting its ability to compete consistently. These structural and recent-form advantages underpin the current trader consensus reflected in the 60% implied probability for a Doosan victory.
