If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Baltimore Orioles (65-69) visit the Athletics (53-81) on August 28 at Sutter Health Park, with the Orioles clinging to a wild-card chase three games back and the Athletics eliminated from contention. Baltimore enters on mixed recent form after splitting its last series but holds a clear edge in starting pitching behind right-hander Brandon Young (9-3, 3.50 ERA), while Jacob Lopez (5-4, 4.98 ERA) takes the ball for Oakland. Both clubs are dealing with significant injuries—Baltimore without Tyler O’Neill, Ryan Mountcastle, Felix Bautista, and others; the Athletics missing Shea Langeliers, Denzel Clarke, and additional rotation depth—which has limited offensive consistency and bullpen reliability. The Athletics have won four of their past five, providing some short-term momentum at home, yet the Orioles’ superior overall roster depth and playoff positioning shape the prevailing market view of the matchup.
