Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Colima on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Colima gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Colima and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Colima and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.
Rosa María Bayardo Cabrera holds the strongest position among contenders for the 2027 Colima gubernatorial election, reflecting trader consensus on her frontrunner status within the Morena-PT-PVEM coalition. Her recent registration for the party's internal coordination process, combined with explicit backing from outgoing Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva and alignment with national leadership, has reinforced her advantage in internal surveys and early general-election polling that shows the ruling alliance ahead of PRI, PAN, and other opposition forces. Multiple opposition candidates appear on the market at low implied probabilities, consistent with the coalition's structural edge in a state where port-related economic issues and continuity themes favor incumbency-aligned contenders. The contest remains open to shifts from primary outcomes, coalition negotiations, or broader polling movements ahead of the formal electoral process launch in October 2026.
