JoAnna Mendoza holds a strong lead in the AZ-06 House race due to superior fundraising, a slight polling edge, and the district’s recent Democratic performance in statewide contests. The Marine veteran and Democratic challenger has raised over $10.8 million compared with incumbent Republican Juan Ciscomani’s roughly $7.5 million, including a record $3.41 million in the third quarter alone, and maintains a larger cash-on-hand advantage heading into the final weeks. Recent polls show Mendoza ahead or tied within the margin of error, while forecasters have shifted the race from toss-up toward Lean Democratic. The district’s even partisan lean and Democratic wins by candidates such as Ruben Gallego have reinforced trader expectations that Mendoza benefits from structural and resource advantages in this competitive southern Arizona seat.
