Bublik enters the US Open third-round clash on hard courts after a dominant straight-sets win over Mannarino, highlighted by 16 aces and strong first-serve conversion. The 15th-seeded Kazakh, ranked around No. 16, brings big serving and shot-making variety that has produced recent success on the surface. Paul, the 20th seed ranked near No. 21, arrives with consistent hard-court form, including a Cincinnati quarterfinal run and straight-sets victories in his first two Open matches. Paul holds a 5-2 head-to-head edge, though Bublik won their prior US Open meeting in five sets. Home-crowd support and baseline reliability give the American a competitive edge in what projects as a tightly contested encounter.
