Carlos Alcaraz enters the Rolex Paris Masters round of 16 on strong indoor momentum after capturing the Vienna title and extending a five-match winning streak with a tiebreak victory over Alex Michelsen. The second seed leads the head-to-head 3-1 and has won 16 of 18 matches since returning from wrist issues. Matteo Berrettini, ranked No. 43 and dealing with a long injury history, reached this stage via three-set and straight-sets wins over Brandon Nakashima and Ugo Humbert, showcasing an effective serve on the indoor hard courts at La Défense Arena. Their match occurs amid a draw with multiple top-seed upsets, though Alcaraz has yet to advance past the quarterfinals in Paris.
