Ryuki Matsuda and Naoki Nakagawa, both Japanese players ranked in the low 700s, meet in the M25 Urayasu final on outdoor hard courts. Nakagawa holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge after a straight-sets win over Matsuda in March 2026 at an M15 event in Japan. In the current tournament, Nakagawa has shown stronger momentum, dropping just one set en route to the final with convincing victories including a three-set semifinal against Kuan-Yi Lee. Matsuda has also advanced efficiently in straight sets through the draw but enters with a mixed 2026 record on hard. Both players compete regularly at this ITF level with comparable hard-court win rates near 55-60%, making serve consistency, return efficiency, and handling of pressure points the key variables in what shapes up as a closely contested final between familiar domestic rivals.
