Carlos Alcaraz enters the Rolex Paris Masters quarterfinal as the clear favorite against Taylor Fritz, backed by a 6-1 head-to-head edge and stronger recent form on indoor hard courts. The world No. 3 arrives fresh after a Vienna title and a straight-sets win over Alex Michelsen, plus a walkover in the round of 16, while remaining unbeaten indoors in 2026. Fritz, ranked No. 12, has strung together three wins in Paris, including a straight-sets victory over Arthur Fils, but has logged more match time and dealt with early arm concerns. The American needs a strong result to stay in the ATP Finals race, yet Alcaraz’s superior return pressure and experience in tight matches have consistently decided prior encounters. The indoor hard surface favors both players’ serving games, though Alcaraz’s movement and shot-making edge remain decisive factors in this matchup.
