The 2027 Ballon d'Or market sits wide open in its earliest phase, with Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé edging ahead at 24.5% and 21.5% implied probability as traders price in breakout form and proven scoring output. Raphinha and Michael Olise follow at 12.5% and 10.3%, reflecting strong club campaigns and Champions League exposure, while Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Jude Bellingham cluster lower amid injury concerns and shifting team dynamics. This tight spread among top names stems from the absence of decisive 2026-27 season milestones, leaving voter narratives fluid and historical patterns of late surges or injuries still influential. Key upcoming catalysts include winter form peaks, UEFA awards, and spring knockout results that could consolidate momentum before the October ceremony.
This market will resolve to the player who wins the Ballon d'Or award for the 2027 Ballon d'Or. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by France Football and UEFA rules. If multiple winners are announced, this market will resolve to "Other". If the 2027 Ballon d'Or is cancelled, postponed after March 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from France Football and UEFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
