This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Democratic Party to contest the NH-02 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Democratic primary will take place on September 8, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Democratic sources, including https://democrats.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.

Maggie Goodlander’s commanding position as the Democratic incumbent in New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District stems from consistent polling leads of 40 points or more in recent surveys, combined with overwhelming fundraising dominance exceeding $4 million against her main challenger’s roughly $44,000. The September 8 primary features Beauchemin, a state representative and nurse positioning herself as a progressive alternative focused on affordability and working-class issues. Trader consensus reflects these structural advantages for an established officeholder in a district with strong Democratic leanings. Late developments such as unusually high challenger turnout, a major undisclosed issue, or shifts in voter mobilization could still narrow the margin, though current evidence shows limited signs of such movement.
