This market will resolve to “Yes” if the listed actor is officially announced as the next James Bond actor by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. This market will resolve based on the first official announcement of who will be the next James Bond, regardless of any changes made thereafter. If no actor is announced as the next Bond within the timeframe, this market will resolve to "No Bond chosen". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Amazon MGM Studios. However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Recent trader sentiment in the next James Bond actor market reflects a sharp shift driven by a mid-August 2026 rumor from presenter Richard Osman naming Jack Lowden as “strongly considered,” elevating the Slow Horses star to 27.8% implied probability ahead of Callum Turner at 17.5%. Turner had previously led amid reports of meetings with director Denis Villeneuve and producers, bolstered by his Masters of the Air profile and George Clooney endorsement, yet casting veteran Debbie McWilliams has cautioned against overly familiar names. The 21.6% chance assigned to “no Bond chosen” underscores ongoing uncertainty around timing and the preference for a fresh British face suited to multiple films. Lowden’s rise highlights how single credible insider tips can rapidly reprice markets in this high-uncertainty franchise.
