Daria Snigur enters the Ningbo Open qualifying final as the top seed and clear market favorite against Katarzyna Kawa on outdoor hard courts. Ranked No. 42 with a career high recently achieved, Snigur has compiled strong results across the Asian swing, including a three-set win over Kawa in Beijing’s main draw on September 30 and victories over higher-ranked opponents like Elise Mertens in Wuhan. She also advanced through her Ningbo opener despite dropping a set. Kawa, ranked No. 127 at age 33, reached this stage after a retirement win over Katie Volynets but carries a 0-2 head-to-head deficit and less consistent recent form on the surface. Trader consensus reflects Snigur’s ranking edge, current momentum in China, and direct prior victory.
