The Edmonton Oilers enter the October 17 rematch at the Delta Center with a 5-1-1 record after Utah Mammoth handed them their first regulation loss of the season in a 4-2 decision on October 15. Clayton Keller scored twice, including power-play tallies, while Logan Cooley and Barrett Hayton contributed as Utah improved to 6-2-0 and extended its home dominance. Edmonton, which had won five straight before the defeat, will receive reinforcements with Zach Hyman, Colton Dach, and Jake Walman returning from injuries, bolstering a lineup featuring Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The Oilers remain unbeaten in four road games this season, though Utah’s strong special teams and goaltending from Karel Vejmelka present challenges in the back-to-back matchup.
