Dominika Salkova holds a 2-0 head-to-head edge over fellow Czech Gabriela Knutson on hard courts, including a straight-sets win in Prague qualifying on July 19, 2026. Salkova, the 11th seed ranked around No. 118 and aged 22, advanced past Akasha Urhobo in US Open qualifying round one (3-6, 6-3, 7-5), while the 29-year-old Knutson (ranked ~184) defeated Varvara Lepchenko 6-1, 7-5. Salkova’s stronger overall ranking, recent hard-court results, and prior straight-sets victories position her as the consensus favorite in this outdoor hard-court qualifier, though Knutson’s experience and recent Warsaw Challenger final run provide realistic upset potential in a best-of-three format.
