Lanlana Tararudee enters this US Open first-round match on outdoor hard courts as the higher-ranked player at No. 72, with a stronger 2026 record around 41-16 compared to Elvina Kalieva’s 32-21 at No. 115. Tararudee achieved her career-high ranking in late August after consistent results in North American hard-court events, including strong showings in Toronto and Cincinnati qualifying. Kalieva reached the main draw via US Open qualifying with three wins but has a more modest hard-court win rate at the WTA level. The Thai player also holds advantages in recent form and overall experience against top-100 opposition, factors that shape trader consensus on the outcome in this Grand Slam debut matchup for both.
