Francisca Jorge and Mia Ristic meet in US Open qualifying round two on hard courts, a surface where the Portuguese veteran holds a clearer edge with a 13-8 record this season compared to Ristic’s limited 2-2 mark. Jorge, ranked 229, arrives after a straight-sets win over seeded Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva and maintains solid hard-court consistency despite a mixed overall 2026 ledger near .560. Ristic, the younger Serbian at world No. 195 and on a six-match winning streak primarily on clay, brings superior recent volume and a stronger yearly win rate but limited exposure to American hard courts. No prior head-to-head exists, leaving surface adaptation, break-point conversion, and qualifier fatigue as the decisive variables traders are weighing in a market viewed as closely contested.
