Susan Bandecchi holds the edge in this US Open women's singles qualifying second-round match against Viktoria Hruncakova on outdoor hard courts. The Swiss player, ranked around No. 152-175, arrives with strong momentum after straight-sets wins over seeded Alina Charaeva in qualifying round one and a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Hruncakova on hard courts in Warsaw earlier this month. Bandecchi has won six of her last eight matches and holds a slight career hard-court advantage in recent encounters. Hruncakova, ranked near No. 224 but a former top-50 player, advanced past Julia Riera but shows patchier recent form on the surface. The matchup features five prior meetings with a narrow overall edge for Hruncakova, though surface, form, and ranking tilt current consensus toward the higher-ranked Bandecchi.
