Linda Noskova, the No. 6 seed and reigning Wimbledon champion, enters the US Open third round with strong momentum after straight-sets wins over Katie Volynets and Lanlana Tararudee, extending her recent Grand Slam winning streak. The 21-year-old Czech leads the head-to-head 1-0 after a competitive three-set victory over Ann Li on hard courts in Dubai earlier this year. Li, the American No. 29 seed ranked around No. 28, reached this stage with a three-set win over Donna Vekic but holds a more modest 6-4 record in her last 10 matches. Both players have posted solid hard-court results, though Noskova’s higher ranking, recent form, and serve-volley consistency give her the edge in this baseline-heavy matchup on Stadium 17.
