Kai Asakura enters this bantamweight main-card bout at UFC Shanghai on August 29 riding momentum from a first-round knockout of Cameron Smotherman in May, his first UFC victory after two submission losses at flyweight. The Japanese former Rizin champion has adapted well to 135 pounds, showcasing finishing power and expressing intent to display improved combinations against a similar stylistic opponent. Aoriqileng, the Chinese veteran with a 26-13 record, brings UFC experience and home-country support but arrives off a second-round TKO loss to Cody Haddon on the same May card following an earlier quick knockout win. Both fighters share recent Octagon activity at the weight, with Asakura’s recent form and striking threat driving trader consensus toward the heavier favorite in a matchup where local crowd dynamics and finishing ability remain key variables.
