The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs enter the 2026-27 season as the clear frontrunners in the Western Conference after posting the top records in 2025-26. Their depth, defensive identity, and star production position them for favorable first-round matchups and strong odds to reach the conference semifinals. Contenders such as the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Lakers face tougher paths depending on seeding and health. Key factors include early-season form, injury reports for rotation players, home-court advantage in best-of-seven series, and any roster adjustments before the April 2027 playoffs. The play-in tournament adds variability for seeds 7-10.
This market will resolve “Yes” if the listed team reaches the Western Conference Semifinals of the 2027 NBA Playoffs. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed team to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals of the 2027 NBA Playoffs (e.g. they are mathematically eliminated), the associated market will resolve to "No". If the 2027 NBA Playoffs are cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET or the Western Conference Semifinals matchups have not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “No”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NBA (https://www.nba.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
