This market will resolve to "St. Louis Cardinals" if the St. Louis Cardinals win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Both teams sit near the middle of the NL Central, with the Cardinals at 66-68 and the Pirates at 65-70, well out of playoff contention behind Milwaukee and Chicago. Pittsburgh enters the three-game series at Busch Stadium after a disappointing West Coast trip marked by offensive struggles, including stranding runners and poor performance with runners in scoring position. Key injuries compound issues for the Pirates, with starter Mitch Keller sidelined for the season and catcher Endy Rodriguez undergoing hip surgery. St. Louis snapped a five-game skid with a win over Baltimore and will rely on home-field advantage plus arms like Kyle Leahy. Recent form, bullpen usage, and divisional matchups will shape outcomes in these late-August contests.
