Baltimore Orioles (69-70) visit the Colorado Rockies (53-86) for the rubber match of a three-game set at Coors Field, where the Orioles seek to secure a series win and stay within 1.5 games of the final AL wild-card spot. The Rockies snapped a franchise-record 10-game home losing streak with a 4-2 victory on Tuesday behind home runs from TJ Rumfield and Adael Amador, halting Baltimore’s four-game win streak. Probable starters are left-hander Trevor Rogers (9-9, 4.38 ERA) for the Orioles against right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano (12-8, 5.23 ERA), who faces his former club. Multiple Orioles regulars remain on the injured list, including Tyler O’Neill and Christian Franklin, while the thin-air environment at Coors typically elevates run totals and rewards power hitting in both lineups.
