Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Michoacán on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Michoacán gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Michoacán and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Michoacán and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.

The Michoacán gubernatorial race for 2027 remains fragmented, with trader consensus reflected in closely matched probabilities across leading contenders. Grecia Quiroz, the independent mayor of Uruapan and widow of assassinated ex-mayor Carlos Manzo, holds the top position amid strong local support for her Movimiento del Sombrero platform, while Morena aspirants including Carlos Torres Piña, Gladyz Butanda Macías, and Fabiola Alanís Sámano compete in an open internal selection process. Recent polls show Morena maintaining a party-level edge but facing a viable independent challenge, compounded by voter focus on insecurity and a Supreme Court ruling upholding restrictions on independent candidacies. This balance of party machinery, personal narratives, and undecided blocs sustains the tight positioning, with separation likely hinging on Morena's candidate choice, coalition alignments, or shifts in security conditions ahead of formal campaigning.
