  • Will the Democratic Party win the MI-10 House seat?68¢68%
  • Will the Republican Party win the MI-10 House seat?32¢32%

The open seat in Michigan’s 10th congressional district, vacated by Republican Rep. John James to run for governor, has produced a closely contested race between Democrat Christina Hines, a former special victims prosecutor with strong local Macomb County ties, and Republican Mike Bouchard, an Army veteran endorsed by President Trump. Recent polling averages show the candidates essentially tied near 44-45 percent, consistent with the district’s swing character and mixed forecaster ratings ranging from toss-up to slight Republican tilt. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing appears driven by Democratic fundraising and outside spending advantages, Hines’ primary performance, and late-cycle visits such as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ October 18 appearance, even as Bouchard’s October 23 attack site on Hines’ prosecutorial record and the October 25 debate keep public safety and economic issues in focus nine days before the November 3 election.
