Sonja Zhenikhova enters the W15 Haren round of 16 as the clear favorite against Michelle Dzjachangirova on clay, backed by her higher ranking near 1100 and stronger ITF results in 2026. The 18-year-old German has shown competitive form in recent W15 and W35 events on the surface, including straight-set wins, while leveraging junior Grand Slam experience. Dzjachangirova, a 24-year-old representing Azerbaijan in Billie Jean King Cup ties, holds a lower ranking around 1500 and a mixed record with more losses than wins this season, primarily in lower-level or UTR events. Head-to-head history is limited, but Zhenikhova’s recent first-round dominance in Haren and overall consistency position her as the consensus leader in trader pricing for this matchup.
