Chase Ferguson enters this M15 Maanshan 8 quarterfinal on indoor hard with stronger recent momentum and a 2-0 head-to-head edge over 18-year-old Fumin Jiang. The Australian, ranked near 650, posted straight-set wins over Yua Taka and Hanyi Liu in the prior two rounds here, while Jiang advanced past Dong Ju Kim after earlier losses. Ferguson’s greater experience at this level, combined with a higher win rate in 2026 matches against comparable opposition, shapes trader consensus. Jiang’s youth offers upset potential in longer rallies, though both players’ limited rankings mean outcomes hinge on current form rather than sustained elite consistency. Resolution follows the best-of-three sets on the indoor hard surface.
