Matisse Farzam (USA, ATP ~1450) faces Mikael Arseneault (CAN, ATP ~850-1000) in an early-round ITF M15 Champaign singles match on outdoor hard courts. Both 19-year-olds balance college tennis (Farzam at Clemson, Arseneault at Kentucky) with pro ITF schedules. Arseneault enters with a stronger recent hard-court record (37-25 career) and deeper runs in M25 events plus challenger qualifying, while Farzam shows mixed form with qualifier wins but main-draw exits in M15/M25 events this summer. The hard surface favors consistent baseline play and return effectiveness; Arseneault’s higher ranking and experience at this level shape the competitive setup, though Farzam benefits from home-country scheduling and familiarity with U.S. hard courts. No prior head-to-head exists.
