Yanaki Milev, the Bulgarian wildcard and local player ranked 866, reached his first ATP Challenger semifinal on home clay in Plovdiv by defeating seeded Juan Manuel La Serna in the quarterfinals after earlier wins over qualifiers. He faces Argentina’s Valerio Aboian, ranked 431 with a career-high near 378, who advanced with straight-set victories including a dominant quarterfinal performance. Aboian holds the edge in overall ranking, recent consistency on clay, and left-handed serving that can disrupt rhythm, while Milev benefits from home support and momentum in his breakout run. The pair has no prior head-to-head record, making recent form and surface comfort the primary drivers of trader consensus on this semifinal.
